INTERVIEW WITH GIORGIO VITALE
The Task > Assemble a 10-minute, chapter-based interview featuring Giorgio Vitale, the founder of synthesis.gallery. The initial source set was minimal, consisting only of a-roll and a few location b-roll shots, with links to the studio's website and Instagram for reference. The delivery target was one week.
The Process > Since the project was in a relatively open format without a pre-provided asset library, my first step was a deep dive into the studio’s portfolio. I researched every artist curated by synthesis.gallery to collect the visuals needed to support the story: video works, screenshots, and screen recordings.
During the rough cut stage, I had to cut tightly to remove pauses and keep the narrative focused. I planned my cuts carefully, using the gathered artwork to cover transitions since the secondary a-roll camera was unstable and of lower quality. After the rough cut was approved, I focused on the visual integration of digital art and VR exhibition walkthroughs to match the context of the interview.
I also put a lot of focus on the soundtrack; it was important to avoid a "stock" corporate sound and instead find tracks that complemented the gallery’s digital-art tone. After a few rounds of revisions, I delivered a full package including the master file, audio stems, subtitles, and a vertical teaser for social media.
